The Frères High School in Jerusalem – New Gate organized a full week of activities as part of Pink October for breast cancer awareness. The week-long pink campaign included several educational, recreational, and sports stations.

The campaign targeted female students with awareness lectures delivered by Ms. Khawla Abu Ghazaleh from the Family Planning Center, with the participation of students from several schools: Frères School, Notre Dame de Belém, Terra Sancta, and Mar Mitri, to increase awareness about early detection. As for the male students, a physical sports program was organized in the participating schools to promote a healthy lifestyle.

The week also included a “Bring and Buy” station, where all proceeds were dedicated to supporting breast cancer prevention efforts.

In addition, there were Zumba dance classes and fun physical competitions for students of different grade levels. To further raise awareness among mothers, a special lecture was held for them by Dr. Amanda Snioura. These efforts culminated with the provision of a free screening station offered by Augusta Victoria Hospital – Al-Muttala‘, emphasizing the importance of early detection and its role in safeguarding health.
