The administration of Frères School welcomed a delegation from Œuvre d’Orient in France, alongside a delegation from the French Bishops’ Conference, during a solidarity and fact-finding visit aimed at gaining a closer understanding of the reality of Jerusalem, the sensitive circumstances it is experiencing, and the challenges facing the educational sector.
During the meeting, the school administration presented a comprehensive overview of the general situation in Jerusalem and its direct impact on the educational process. The delegations were also briefed on the difficulties the school faced during the war and the various consequences that followed—affecting students and teachers, the continuity of learning, as well as administrative and financial aspects—along with the psychological and social effects this period has had on the entire school community.
The two delegations also toured the school’s facilities, visiting the different departments and observing first-hand the infrastructure improvements carried out by the school, as well as the efforts made to maintain a safe learning environment as much as possible despite the exceptional circumstances. The visitors expressed their appreciation for the school’s seriousness and determination to continue its mission, emphasizing the importance of supporting educational institutions in Jerusalem as a fundamental pillar of resilience and a means of safeguarding identity and future.
